SBA Advocacy International Trade Outreach Meeting, March 29, 2019

The U.S. Small Business Administration’s Office of Advocacy is interested in receiving feedback from small businesses and their representatives regarding their views on trade agreements being negotiated with Japan, the European Union and the United Kingdom, and their experience doing business in these markets. The Office of Advocacy is tasked with producing a report to Congress evaluating the economic impacts of these trade agreements in negotiations regarding small businesses, particularly in the services, manufacturing, and agriculture sectors, as well as highlighting small business priorities, opportunities, and challenges.

The meeting will begin at 10 a.m. on March 29, 2019.  The meeting will be held in Washington, D.C., at the Small Business Administration Headquarters, 409 Third Street SW, Eisenhower C Conference Room.  Send your RSVP to rosalyn.steward@sba.gov.  Please indicate whether you are attending in person, or by teleconference. Those attending in person must provide a valid government issued photo ID to SBA security. Information will be sent out to you when you RSVP.  We have adopted a casual attire option for all Roundtable meetings.

Outreach meetings are open to all interested persons, with the exception of the press, in order to facilitate open and frank discussion about the potential impacts of trade agreements on small entities. The purpose of these outreach meetings is to exchange opinions, facts and information and to obtain the attendees’ individual views and opinions regarding small business concerns. The meetings are not intended to achieve or communicate any consensus positions of the attendees.
